Install

Porul is available for iPhone (App Store) and Android (Google Play). Search for “Porul”, or use the links on myporul.com.

The first launch

When you first open Porul, a short three-screen intro explains the ideas behind the app:

1. Stress-free financial life. Know your Daily Life Cost, track daily expenses and see Needs and Wants.
2. Conquer your debt. Track multiple loans, uncover hidden fees and plan early payoffs.
3. Own your data. Everything works offline, with no cloud tracking and no ads.

Tap Skip to jump to the end, or Get Started on the last screen. You won’t see the intro again.

Five-minute setup

You can log an expense right away, but a few settings make the numbers meaningful.

1. Choose your currency and number format. Go to Settings, Financial Preferences. Pick your symbol and grouping (for example 1,000,000 or 10,00,000). It applies everywhere.
2. Enter your income and fixed bills. Tap the Daily Life Cost card on the home screen. Enter your expected monthly income, then check the starter bills and edit or delete them to match your life. See Daily Life Cost.
3. Pick a backup. Go to Settings, Backup & Sync and choose Google Drive, iCloud or a local folder. See Backup and privacy.
4. Choose light or dark theme in Settings, Appearance.

Your first entry

Tap the + button, type an amount, say what it was for, and tag it Need, Want or Oops. See Kakeibo.
